Tool: Measure
Icon: 
Description: This button will measure the distance and the area for user defined clicks on the map.
User Interaction:
- Single-Click the button.
- Single-Click the map to start measuring.
- Single-Click again to continue measuring a segment.
Or
- Double-Click to end the measure.
Note: After a Double-Click the user can start a new measurement at any time; however, this will result in the clearing of the pre-existing measurement.
Requirements: None.
Limitations:
- All linear measurements are in feet.
- All area measurements are in acres.
Results:
After a Single-Click but before a Double-Click the following will be calculated in the status bar:
- The sum (red line) will display with the label: Line Total. (1)
- The current segment (blue line) total will display with the label: Segment. (3)
After the Double-Click the following will be calculated in the status bar;
- The perimeter (red and black lines) total will display with label: Perimeter. (2)
- The area (A4) (red shade) will display with the label: Area. (4)
- The line total (red line) will display with the label: Line Total. (1)
- The segment total (black line) will display with the label: Segment. (3)
